Six Day War Resource Pack
The Six Day War broke out on June 5, 1967 and is widely believed to be Israel’s greatest military victory. With Arab armies mobilising their forces on Israel’s borders, Israel launched a pre-emptive strike, wiping out almost the entire Egyptian air force. Israel succeeded in capturing the Sinai Peninsula, the Golan Heights, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem. The capture of East Jerusalem enabled the Jewish people to access the Old City and the holiest site in Jewish tradition, the Kotel.
This resource pack includes primary sources, teaching suggestions, and a learning activity.
