This is a poster from the postal authority advertising stamps dedicated to biblical animals that are still part of Israel’s wildlife.
Israel is one of the most climatically diverse countries: rain and snow in the north, sea and a coastal plain in the west, the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea in the east, and desert and coral reefs in the south. Nature conforms to these varied habitats and comprises a rich and unique variety of animals and plants. Israel’s natural conditions have posed a challenge to agriculture but have resulted in Israel becoming a world leader in modern high-tech agriculture and irrigation.
